A disappointing low entry of just 13 players gathered and braved the elements where warm sunshine was mixed with heavy showers to contest the 2011 Premier League Individual Merit on the immaculate green 2 of Donnington Wood Bowling Club.

In the final, Roy Bradburn, using the corners to good effect was able to maintain an early 5-1(5ends) as the score went onto 12-6 before Peter Farmer switched to using the opposite corners of the green to pull level at 12-12(19ends) but a loose end allowed Roy in to score a double and with a change of tactic that saw him playing round marks along the four edges of the green paying great dividends as he also double pointed the remaining ends of the game an become the 2011 champion winning 21-12 in 24 ends.

Highlights from the quarter finals saw:

Roy Bradburn stretched a 9-1 lead over John Coxill into 17-4 before ending the luckless Coxillís hopes in 22 ends winning 21-6.

Phil Emery and Rob Burroughs shared a tight start to tie at 7-7 before Phil went on an almost unanswered run to quickly finish in 15 ends, 21-8.

Peter Farmer, from 4-4 went into a 13-6 lead before Clay Flattley hit back and took the lead 18-16 and from there the pair shared the ends as they went 19-19 and 20-20 with Peter just edging home to win 21-20.

After edging an early 6-1 lead over Dale Rudrum, Darren Wellings maintained it to go on to 13-7 then stretched to 20-12 and win 21-14.

In the semi-finals:

Roy Bradburn hit back hard from 3-8 down to lead 14-8 only for Phil Emery to strike and close the gap to trail 15-16 and as the evenly matched game then went on to 18-18, Roy managed to edge his way into the final winning 21-18 in 30 ends.

Meanwhile, in a repeat of the previous seasonís final, Peter Farmer went into a 10-0 lead and after Darren Wellings clawed his way back to trail 7-10, Peter pushed forward to 17-10 and despite Darren scoring 7 shots in 5 ends to pull back to within a single shot, after 28 ends Peter held on to win 21-17.

 In the FINAL:

Roy Bradburn, using the corners to good effect was able to maintain an early 5-1(5ends) as the score went onto 12-6 before Peter Farmer switched to using the opposite corners of the green to pull level at 12-12(19ends) but a loose end allowed Roy in to score a double and with a change of tactic that saw him playing round marks along the four edges of the green paying great dividends as he also double pointed the remaining ends of the game an become the 2011 champion winning 21-12 in 24 ends.
