21 pairs took part in the fifth Mike Hinton Doubles trophy today at Telepost. The final saw Ian Beaman and Tony Hotchkiss from Meole Brace take on Paul Williams and Keith Walton from Castlefields. In a even start to the match, the Meole Brace pair had the best break of the game to lead 15-8 and coasted to a 21-10 win.

Earlier, Beaman and Hotchkiss beat Peter Grimston and Steve Broome from Sir John Bayley 16 in the semi finals, while Williams and Walton Dave Hoffman and Ian Booth from Ford and Chester Road 14.
